ADU

Accessory dwelling units (ADUs) continue to remain a hot topic of conversation in California as communities throughout the state search for ways to increase housing supplies in areas with high demand. Also known as in-law units or granny flats, this type of housing often involves adding backyard cottages or converting garages in single-family neighborhoods, giving owners the flexibility of additional space or supplemental income. It can also involve adding detached units to lots with multifamily buildings, or even building multiple units in existing garages. At Right Image Builders, Inc. we spent the last years designing and engineering several different Studio units ADU prototypes to streamline the process of adding an ADU to your property. By simplifying the process, we are making building ADUs quicker to build and more economical.

Garage Conversion:

Our garage conversions allow you to convert your two car garage into functional living space. Depending on the size of your garage, it could accommodate a studio or one bedroom home. The studio would include flexible living space with a very efficient and functional kitchen and bathroom. The one bedroom has a slightly larger but similar floor plan with a private bedroom. A garage conversion is typically 350 to 400 square feet.

Our studio homes are the perfect option where the buildable area on the lot is limited. These detached buildings on your lot provide for open flexible living space with a kitchen and bathroom. This floor plan is a great fit for a variety of uses such as a small home, guest house, work space, pool house or recreation room. Our studio plan is approximately 375 to 630 square feet.

    Our one bedroom plan is ideal for someone who is looking for a relatively small home but wants a defined bedroom area. The footprint of this floor plan is still relatively small, so it fits well on lots that have limited area or where the homeowner desires to maintain more yard space. Our one bedroom plan is between 700 to 1200 square feet.

    Our TWO bedroom units ADU

    We offer several two bedroom plans depending on your needs and lot size. Our single story floor plan provides an open living and kitchen area and two bedrooms and two bathrooms. This floor plan is perfect for the homeowner who requires a little more space and appreciates the benefits of single level living. We also have a couple of 2-story two bedroom two bathroom homes. These homes have a smaller footprint than the single story plan and work well when lot area is limited. Our two bedroom plans are between 1250 to 2,100 square feet.
