La Cañada Flintridge issues its own permits: siding and stucco work goes through the City of La Cañada Flintridge Building and Safety Division at City Hall, 1327 Foothill Boulevard, with plan check and inspection by the City's contracted building official and applications through the ConnectLCF portal, not LADBS. A like-for-like re-side or re-stucco is a simpler permit than a conversion or a wall that needs framing repair, which goes to plan check.
The entire city is a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, so exterior materials are checked against Chapter 7A at plan check; hillside parcels add the City's hillside review, and the protected-oak rules govern where scaffolding and trenching can go.
We prepare whichever review comes first, submit the permit, schedule the inspections, meet the inspector at the flashing stage and at the final, and close the permit before the final payment. You keep the closed-permit record.
