Tarzana is a neighborhood of room. The flats north of Ventura Boulevard sit on big, level lots — the kind of parcel that makes a great-room addition or an oversized chef's kitchen genuinely feasible instead of a squeeze. South of Ventura, the streets climb into the Tarzana hills, where larger, upscale homes with a semi-rural feel come with bigger ambitions and a more demanding site.
That split shapes almost every kitchen we build here. On the flats, the win is often footprint — bumping the kitchen out into a real open great room while the lot happily allows it. In the hills, it's a high-end renovation on a house that already has scale, where the challenge is doing premium work on a hillside parcel correctly and on permit.
We handle every trade under one roof: demolition, framing, structural, rough plumbing and electrical, cabinetry, countertop templating and installation, tile, and finish carpentry. Custom & Semi-Custom Cabinetry
Full-custom and semi-custom programs built and installed by our own team — Shaker, slab, inset, and rift oak, with dovetail drawer boxes, soft-close hardware, and pantry and organization systems. We size cabinetry to the real footprint of a Tarzana kitchen, from a big-lot great room to a hillside chef's layout.
Islands & Stone Countertops
We work direct with stone fabricators — no middleman markup. Quartz, quartzite, marble, granite, and porcelain slab, with waterfall islands, integrated sinks, and matched backsplash. On Tarzana's larger lots the island is usually the centerpiece, and we template and build it to suit.
Great-Room & Structural Work
The big-lot Tarzana project: opening the kitchen to the living space or bumping the footprint into a great-room addition. We coordinate the structural engineering, beam sizing, shoring, and LVL or steel install — all permitted through LADBS, and engineered to the Hillside Ordinance on south-of-Ventura homes.

North Flats &
the Tarzana Hills
Ventura Boulevard is the dividing line in Tarzana, and it changes the kitchen work on either side. North of the boulevard — the flats and the Vanalden area — you find big, level lots that give a kitchen real room to grow. This is prime territory for a large addition, a proper great room, or an oversized island, because the parcel simply allows it.
South of Ventura, the streets rise into the Tarzana hills — larger, upscale homes with a semi-rural feel and views to match. The homes here have scale, but the site is more demanding: the City of LA Hillside Ordinance governs grading, haul routes, and access, and a kitchen remodel that touches structure has to be designed for those rules from the start.
Everything is City of Los Angeles, permitted through LADBS. Our shop is in Valley Glen, a straight drive east along the Valley floor — close enough that a project lead stays hands-on through framing, cabinetry, and final inspection, whether your kitchen is on the flats or up in the hills.
